Nevertheless, after a bit of a slow start, things picked up in the afternoon with some gutsy victories. Of 8 wrestlers, we have 4 1/2 left. Zack Brady is in the semi's tomorrow against the Brebeuf guy he beat at GHAC. Now in the top 8 and 1 win away from the top 6 are Reed Nicholson, Kierran Smillie and Max Michaelis. The 1/2 is James Ponton who lost his last match at the end of the day but we protested and won the protest. By time they made the ruling the other guy had left not knowing about the protest. We suspect they will wrestle a deciding round in the morning. Arie Moldvan and Zach Vandervelde were both 1-2. Rookie Jarret Steptoe went winless but did not embaress himself and gained great experience for the future.”
