1999 - 2000

• Drury collects 2 dozen medals in 2 events on opening weekend. Newcomers Matt Knock and Jesse Ronan win their first career golds.
• Drury wins both the Cadet and Open titles in Woodstock. Will Van Duyn and Dynamo grad Mike Devries wins their first open golds.
• McCart and Heffron go undefeated without surrendering a point to lead Spartans to another Drury Invitational title.
• McCart wins his fifth Provincial Title. Mike Devries, Rob Petherick and Jordan Lumb take gold in the Ontario Cadet Open.
• Kevin Heffron becomes fifth Spartan to surpass 200 wins at Lourdes.
• Drury wins 6th consecutive Haltons with 9 golds and 235 points. First time champs include Nick Barkley, Will Van Duyn and Adam Scott.
• ECD qualifies a record 17 for OFSAA in a dominant GHAC victory. McDonell, Devries and Tom Gallinger all win their first GHAC golds. Adam Scott's desperation throw to earn an OFSAA berth and Chad Merritt's dominating victory in the main event sets the stage for OFSAA.
• By the time we got to Woodstock, the highly visible Drury wrestlers sported golden hair to match their golden singlets . By time it was all over, they added gold medals to the wardrobe. ECD wins their first OFSAA Championship, 134-120 over two time defending champs Brampton Centennial. Leading the way with golds were Mike Devries and Chad Merritt. John McCart earned a bronze while Rob Petherick placed 5th and Sean Burnham 6th.
• The storybook season ends with John McCart winning his fourth consecutive National Title and Chris Holmes claiming silver in Abbotsford, B.C.
• Merritt and Devries named Senior and Junior Athletes-of-the-Year. Gallinger wins the Athletic / Academic Award of Excellence.
• Drury hosts the Canada-East Bantam-Kids Championships and Gary Ferrier completes an undefeated season with a gold.
• Kevin Heffron is the first winner of the Canada-East Wrestling Bursary.
• Tom Gallinger is named class valedictorian.

2000 - 2001

• Jeff Roberge takes over the Wrestling web-page and takes it to new heights. The message board, guest book, and contact list become popular features and within a few years he has the page recognized as being one of the country's best.
• ECD starts the year with a team title in Georgetown as Burnham, Holmes, McDonell and Ryan Faria win gold.
• Wadeson and McDonell lead ECD to a close victory in the Drury Invitational. Knock and Ronan lead the juniors to the Spartan Open title. Drury Wrestling goes international spending 10 days of Christmas break training with the Lara State Club in Venezuela.
• Matt Knock wins an Ontario Cadet title, Ronan earns bronze, Adam Baxter gets silver in Juvenile.
• Outgunned in the top and bottom weights, ECD surrenders the GHAC crown. The Baxter brothers, McDonell, Burnham and Petherick win gold; Chris Holmes wins a do-or-die match over the eventual champion to earn an OFSAA berth.
• Despite having only 8 qualifiers, Drury wins back- to- back OFSAA titles 160 - 145 over 2nd place Hagersville. All 4 graduating captains place as Chris Holmes becomes Drury's 4th OFSAA Champ, Sean Burnham wins silver and Rory McDonell and Andy Wadeson take 4th. Matt Baxter also places 4th while Adam finishes 5th. Petherick and Knock place in the top 12.
• Chris Holmes wins Athlete-of-the-Year honours while Rory McDonell is the Nicholls-Wollastan winner and Andy Wadeson takes the SAS Award.
• Andy Wadeson and Rory McDonell win the renamed OFSAA Legacy Bursary.
• Andy Wadeson is the second consecutive wrestler to be selected valedictorian.

2001 - 2002

• The season starts with team titles at Hagersville, Beamsville, Georgetown and Drury. Chris Guard and Matt Knock in Hagersville, Ben Beech, Tyler Saliba and Jeff Roberge in Beamsville and Jesse Ronan and rookie Gary Ferrier at Georgetown all win their first open golds.
• Going into Christmas break, team leaders include Ben Beech at 24-3, Adam Baxter at 23-2 and Jesse Ronan at 20-4.
• Ferrier and Adam Smith win gold at the Provincial Cadet Open. Carl Chan wins silver.
• Led by impressive performances by the Baxters, Knock and Guard, Drury reclaims GHAC topping Bishop Ryan 150-94. The Spartans win 6 gold and qualify 12 for OFSAA.
• ECD ties Chinguacousey's record of three consecutive OFSAA titles. ECD edges Port Credit by 5 points as Matt Knock wins a silver and both Baxters win bronze. Ronan places 5th, Saliba 6th and Guard and Ferrier 7th to lead the 3-Peat.
• Ferrier wins gold at the Ontario Winter Games and bronze at the Cadet Nationals in New Brunswick.
• Drury wrestlers spend an afternoon training with Olympic Champ Daniel Igali who spends a day visiting E.C. Drury.
• Adam Baxter is named Senior Athlete-of-the-Year and winner of the Legacy Bursary while Jesse Ronan is selected top Junior Athlete.

2002 - 2003

• Drury enjoys pre-season training with a twist on the golden sand beaches of Puerto Rico. ECD wins the Schoolboy Division of the Sparta Cup and places 3rd in Cadet. Peter Leaman wins gold, Gary Ferrier silver, Robbie Hunt bronze. Also in the top 5 were Jesse Ronan, Matt Mantin and Steve Shortt.
• The regular season begins with " 4-Peat " on our minds. ECD wins the open division of the Hagersville Early-Bird. Matt Knock wins the first senior gold, Greg Robertson the first rookie title.
• Jordan Lumb wins his first open gold while Kyle Smith and Bryan Morgan get their first open medals as Spartans win the Beamsville title.
• Drury wins the CWO Championship. First time champions include Kevin Tyrer, Kyle Smith and rookie Alan Moffatt.
• 6 golds and 12 medals in total gives ECD a record margin of victory at the Drury Invitational. Lumb and Ferrier win their third titles of the season. Rob Petherick gets his first.
• Golds by Ferrier and rookie Chris Flannigan lead ECD to victory at the Spartan Open.
• Jesse Ronan becomes only the fifth Spartan to win an Ontario Juvenile Title. Gary Ferrier wins his sixth consecutive Ontario title in Cadet. Carl Chan takes silver to give Drury a 1-2 finish in the weight class.
• Sparked by strong performances by Blake Hillier and the new "rat pack", Drury wins GHAC with 6 golds and 16 medals. Rob Petherick joins Thomas Jensen as the only 5 time OFSAA qualifier. In addition to Hillier, first time OFSAA qualifiers include Moffatt, Flannigan, Tyrer, Beech, Lumb , Eric Freeze and Greg Foster.
• Drury makes history. E.C.D. becomes the first team to win 4 consecutive OFSAA Team Titles. It takes a come-from-behind, overtime, bronze medal victory by Matt Knock in the last match of the day to clinch it. Jesse Ronan spearheads the championship with a silver medal. Ferrier, Petherick and Tyrer place 5th^, Moffat 6th and Hillier 7th
• Ferrier wins a Canadian Cadet gold medal to add to his 4 Canada-East titles. Ronan places 6th in both freestyle and Greco.
• Nick Ronan, Rob Rubino plus Zach and Spencer Greenawalt all win gold at the Ontario Bantam-Kids Championships for the clubs best showing ever.
• Wrestlers are once again front and center at the annual Athletic Banquet. Ronan wins Senior Athlete-of-the-Year while Chan gets the Junior Award and Tyrer is named Sportsperson of the year.

2003 - 2004

• Drury welcomes new assistant coach James Crowe.
• The Drury Wrestlers begin the "drive for 5" winning open the division in Hagersville. Carl Chan wins his 1st open gold joining Jesse Ronan and Matt Knock as champions. Nick Ronan and Kevin Iwasa-Madge earn bronzes in their high school debuts.
• Drury score enough victories to win back to back combined titles in Beamsville and Turner-Fenton despite not having any girl wrestlers. Winning gold in both events were Jesse Ronan, Kevin Tyrer, Gary Ferrier , and rookie Mac Fillman. Earning 1st career open golds were Peter Leaman, Bryan Morgan, and Colin Burnham.
• Iwasa-Madge and Blake Hillier qualify for the Ontario Winter Games by winning gold at the CWO Championships in Hagersville.
• Knock and Ferrier remain undefeated winning gold at Bishop Ryan.
• ECD defeats Hagersville and Heart Lake by a big margin in the Drury Invitational. Drury's 9 gold are an all-time record.
• Alan Moffat and Chris Flanigan win gold at the Spartan Open.
• Ferrier wins the Ontario Juveniles defeating Chan in the final while Moffat defeats Hillier in the final to win gold in Cadet.
• Drury wins GHAC; 158 – 80 over Bishop Ryan. ECD wins 5 gold and qualifies 13 for OFSAA which is the 2nd highest number ever. GHAC Champs include the Ronan brothers, Blake Hillier, Kevin Tyrer, and Gary Ferrier.
• Drury completes the "drive for 5" with a nail biting 9 point victory over Hagersville. For the 2nd straight year, ECD clinches it in their final match of the day. Jesse Ronan scores a 10 point superiority victory for the most dominating OFSAA gold in Drury History. Gary Ferrier joins Colin Widdis as the only Spartans to go undefeated in a high school season winning gold in a wild final while Matt Knock becomes Drury's 1st three time medalist with a bronze. Drury has a record 7 top six finishers as Tyrer gets 5th and Hillier, Iwasa-Madge, and Fillman place 6th. Chan, Moffat, and Nick Ronan place top 8. Burnham top 12.
• Iwasa-Madge wins silver, Hillier bronze at the Ontario Winter Games in London.
• Jesse Ronan, Tyrer, and Knock end their Drury careers with Florida golds ending one of the most successful seasons in Drury history.

2004 - 2005

• The rebuilding begins as Drury places 3rd at Hagersville and Beamsville. Peter Leaman gets the team's 1st gold in Beamsville. At Brock, Iwasa-Madge becomes the 1st to win gold under the new open rules.
• 5 of 10 wrestlers win gold at Turner-Fenton.
• Blake Elliot and Jared Robb win their 1st ever golds at the 1st ECD Rookie Open.
• Leaman, Chan, Moffat and Ferrier win gold to lead ECD to another Drury Invitational Title.
• Drury Wrestlers welcome back their alumni for the 1st ever Drury Wrestling Reunion and Old-Timers Meet. The moves might have been a bit rusty and the bodies a few steps slower but a good time is had by all.
• Drury wins the Open title at the CWO Championships. Juvenile Champs include Leaman, Ferrier, Moffat and Shermet while Iwasa-Madge and Robb win in Cadet.
• All 8 Drury wrestlers make the top 6 at the Provincials helping the GWC to the juvenile title. Iwasa-Madge wins gold, Leaman and Shermet silver and Nick Ronan bronze.
• Drury reclaims GHAC on the strength of 7 golds, outscoring BR, 139-102. Champions include Leaman, Ferrier, Iwasa-Madge, Chan, Ronan, Shermet and the uncontested 38kg Steve Adams. Moffat, Chris Flanigan and Ranbir Hans also qualify for OFSAA.
• The streak is over. Hagersville finally overtakes Drury for the team title but the team silver gives ECD an OFSAA record, 8 straight team medals. Ferrier leads the way with his 2nd straight OFSAA title, a Drury 1st. Moffat wins a bronze for his 1st OFSAA medal, Iwasa-Madge places 4th and Leaman and Shermet are 5th. Captain Leaman after a heartbreaking OT loss in the semi's comes down with the flu and shows Drury pride by gutting out a win in his final match. Coach Jaroslawski presented the OFSAA Leadership Award.
• Drury joins SJK on a tour to Nambia, Africa and have an amazing experience. Chan goes 10-0 and wins 3 gold medals. Leaman is 6-0 over 2 tournaments winning Outstanding Wrestler in the 2nd event. Moffat goes 10-1 winning 2 medals. Also winning medals are Flanigan, Mac Fillman, Johnny McMahon and alumni Adam Baxter. Chan reaches 56 wins the 4th highest in Drury history.
• Nick Ronan caps off the season with a national bronze medal in Newfoundland. Iwasa-Madge places 4th.

2005 - 2006

• Iwasa-Madge earns silver and Moffat places 4th in a pre-season tune-up in Puerto Rico.
• ECD wins 16 medals to win both the open and novice divisions in Hagersville. Brandon McDonald wins his 1st open gold joining Shermet, Ferrier, Ronan and Moffat as champions. Shawn Aguiar and Bobby McBride lead the rookies.
• Ranbir Hans wins his 1st open gold in Beamsville. Other winners include Shermet, Iwasa-Madge, Jared Robb and rookies J.D. Davies and Troy Medland.
• Juniors win the ECD Open with gold medal efforts by Shawn Coulas, Sean McFadden and Jared Robb.
• Robb qualifies for the Winter Games with a victory at the CWO Championships.
• Drury narrowly outpoints Essex 97-89 at the Drury Invitational. Champions include brothers Mac and Bobby Fillman, Iwasa-Madge, Ronan, Hans, Aguiar and Ferrier.
• Drury wins numerous come-from-behind victories in Ottawa to start off the new year. Alan Moffat and Bobby Fillman wrestle to golds.
• Shermet earns silver at the Ontario juniors and a bronze at the Queens Open.
• Moffat and Bob Fillman are golden again, this time at the Provincial Cadet-Juveniles. Fillman becomes Drury's 1st rookie Ontario Champ since Thomas Jensen in 1985. Also winning medals are Iwasa-Madge, Ronan and Robb. Fillman and Greg Brooks qualify for the Ontario Winter Games.
• The Spartans dominate GHAC for their 5th consecutive title with 8 golds and 20 medals. Champs include the Fillman brothers, Hans, Blake Elliot, Iwasa-Madge, Moffat, Robb and Shermet. Also qualifying for the show are Chris Flanigan, Ferrier, Matt Ganpat, Matt Mantin and J.D. Davies.
• Drury reclaims the OFSAA title outscoring defending champs Hagersville 131-119. Shermet and Moffat win OFSSA titles while Bobby Fillman earns bronze. Ferrier places 4th for his 4th top 6 finish. Iwasa-Madge and Elliot place top 8 while Mac Fillman and Flanigan place top 12.
• Bobby Fillman moves up a weight but still wins the Winter Games for his 12th medal of the season. Hans and Robb get 3rd, Duncan Moffat 4th.
• Iwasa-Madge wins gold in Hagersville to tie Kevin Heffron with 14 medals in a season. Moffat reaches 50 wins while Bobby Fillman ties Mike Devries at 13 for the most season medals by a rookie.
• Iwasa-Madge sets the season medal record with a gold medal at the National Cadet Trials in Edmonton. The win qualifies him for the National Team tour of Cuba. Moffat earns silver in Juvenile to qualify for the Ontario Team going to the Commonwealth games in Scotland. Fillman places 7th.
• Moffat wins Senior Athlete –of-the-Year while Robb wins Junior. Kyle Shermet receives the Nicholls-Wollaston Award at the Athletic Banquet.
• Iwasa-Madge and Moffat become the 1st Spartans to win the Guelph Open.
• Moffat claims bronze at the Commonwealth Championships and follows that up with a bronze at the Scottish Open Braveheart Tournament.
• Alan Moffat and Kevin Iwasa-Madge become Drury's first ever Canada Cup Pre-Junior Champions.
• Alan Moffat goes 5-1 to win a bronze at the Commonwealth Youth Wrestling Championships in Glasgow, Scotland.

2006 - 2007

• Drury starts the season strongly, winning the Hagersville Early-Bird. Rookie Bryan Iwasa-Madge joins brother Kevin as a gold medal winner. Both the Fillman and Moffat brothers are also medal winners.
• ECD wins the ECD Open Junior wrestling tournament. Bobby Fillman, Duncan Moffat, Blair Norland and rookies Jordan Stepto and Michael McClelland win gold.
• Drury wins 9 medals at the CWO Championships. Alan Moffat wins his 6th gold, Kevin Iwasa-Madge his 7th.
• Iwasa-madge wins the Matmen Classic to earn a spot on the provincial team for the Stu Hart Tournament in Calgary.
• The Moffat and Fillman brothers win gold to lead Drury to another Drury Invitational Title.
• Iwasa-Madge moves up an age group to become Drury's 1st ever Ontario Junior Champion.
• Bobby Fillman becomes only the 4th Spartan to ever win back-to-back Ontario Cadet Championships.
• ECD outpoints Bishop Ryan, 127-105 to win GHAC and qualify 10 for OFSAA. GHAC champs include Kevin Iwasa-Madge, Alan Moffat, Bobby Fillman and Chris Flanigan are GHAC Champs. Also qualifying for OFSSA are Duncan Moffat, Jared Robb, Mac Fillman, Nick Ronan, Michael McClelland and Shawn Coulas.
• Iwasa-Madge ends an undefeated high school season to win his 1st OFSAA while Alan Moffat becomes Drury's 2nd 2 time champion. Duncan Moffat, Bobby Fillman and Nick Ronan place 5th and Mac Fillman is 6th. Despite 6 finalists, ECD loses the team title to Smith Falls by a one point margin but extends the team medal streak to 10 straight years.
• Drury is dominant in both freestyle and Greco competition at tournaments in a March Break tour of Florida and North Carolina. Kevin Iwasa-Madge sets new team records for wins, medals and gold medals. Moffat wins a gold then flies to PEI where he earned a silver to become Drury's 1st ever National Junior medal winner.
• Iwasa-Madge places 4th in the Canadian Juvenile Freestyle Championships and wins a bronze in Greco. He ends the season with 75 wins, breaking Chad Merritt's previous record of 61. Bobby Fillman places 4th in Cadet while Duncan Moffat is 2nd in the FILA Cadet team trials.
• Alan Moffat is named to the national Junior Team and places 5th at the Pan-Am Championships in Venezuela.
